Well the clip of the "monster" was horrible. I didn’t see any siting of the self proclaimed monster. What’s this blasphemy?

i reckon cloverfield is just going to be a huge media hype then disappointed the viewers with some shitty 3rd act. though the cinematography seems to be rather interesting in it and it appears to be filmed in a first person view. documentary ?

It’s not a documentary, but from what I have gathered it is in first person view. Basically the whole movie is someone recording the events that are happening. The camera shakes when the recorder runs, and so on. It’s suppose to be like it actually happened, someone recorded it and we’re watching it.

the hype surrounding it actually made it into the times newspaper not too long ago. Theyre marketing it brilliantly though, by saying nothing about it and letting people do the advertising themselves.

I’m gonna go ahead and call it so when you guys do see the movie, you can remember how awesome I am at reading between the lines.
Potential Spoiler Alert
-->The monster is aquatic based and multiple stories tall. I say that because the poster features the Statue of Liberty sans head, with water ripples leading to Manhattan. The monster probably has multiple offspring, which fuels the "multiple monster" theory, but these other monsters are probably a more reasonable size, similar to the Godzilla babies in the 1998 film. My personal investigations on the subject lead me to believe (this is really out there, but I have evidence to suggest it) that the monster is a mutated sea creature created by some sort of pollution caused by a company in Japan called Tagruato, and the way they obtain the secret ingredient of their carbonated beverage known as Slusho (what’s a monster movie without Japan, amirite?).
*Edit: Just watched the video, and apparently an oil rig from Tagruato collapsed. Surprise.
I fucked up the first post, delete please.
