I’m talking to teh1337 because he’s bitching about how he hates parkour because it’s "just jumping" yet he loves football because they play with balls and jump onto eachother and run around

I didn’t say i liked football for those reasons Calamari, i simply said that parkour is worthless.

Haha okay, I will respect your opinion even though I disagree. I do think that football is equally pointless, but hey people enjoy it so I’m not gonna hate on them for it.

Parkour is more than ’just jumping’. I don’t particularly like it, but there’s more to it than that.

Parkour is a french word for trail, not jumping, jumping is sauter. a traceur means a trailblazer, basically (a tracer, he traces the trail)
before insulting whoyathink, did you see his youtube videos? they’re fucking amazing

I used to do that shit and yes, the amateur are lame. The biggest thing I ever did was jump off of a two story parking structure. I had to stop because I never could learn to roll properly.

It’s good fun, even if you aren’t very good at it. But yeah, it’s annoying seeing kids all excited because they managed to jump off something that isn’t very high.
It’s not "brute force" football, teh1337. Everyone has different interests, and being nimble and skillful with parkour/freerunning is more than "just jumping". I sense this has a lot to do with it being originated from the French.

As a matter of fact, Teh1337, Parkour happens to be an entire philosophy, and is considered by some to be a ’way of life’. Being like water, to be able to just slip over and around whatever life throws at you, being able to mold and adapt to any situation, and just always keep flowing forward, whatever the obstacle.
It’s a pretty misinformed statement, "It’s just jumping and running".

lol it’s more manly then football... Big muscel filled sweaty guys with silk short shorts running aroung and jumping all over eachother in the chase for balls just doesn’t appeal to me for some reason.
