Quote: Would it be possible to get a FULL fire extinguisher, THEN mod it so that the first blast is a full strength blast? just a thought.
You’d have to enlarge the hose.
Quote: Get a water gun like the prisons use. It will be fucking priceless.
Are you referring to what they use for waterboarding? Because that’s pretty low pressure, they just use cellophane over the person’s mouth to make them suffocate while they do it.

I think he means the ones they use in riot control, that knock people over.

It was on one of those job shows on Discovery afew days ago, not Dirty Jobs but something like it.

I thought of this a couple weeks ago. Haven’t tested it but it should work.

Duct_tape, that pretty much looks like a fancy nozzle, there’s no where to store pressure from what I can tell. My guess is this was a joke?

It was 100% serious. pour water in the top ball valve and close it then pressurize it through the schrader valve. open the other ball valve to spray people. You could switch the small ball valve for a pressure washer handle if you wanted it to be more ergonomic.

Oh, I didn’t know that was a schrader valve, so you’ll be using a bike pump or an air compressor with this? Also, I was looking at it wrong, I thought the red ball valve was the barrel and the blue one was supposed to be hooked to a water supply. I’d use a garden hose nozzle in replace for the small one.
Also, would that retain pressure, or would you have to repump after every shot?

I’m not sure about pressure. If you start at a decent pressure (60 PSI perhaps) it should be able to shoot for a while. Everytime you refill you’d have to repump it.
Make it from 3 inch or 4 inch PVC pipe. You could mount it on a backpack frame for portability.

I’m not a big fan of the PVC waterguns, they just seem to bulky to me. They’re made with thin pipe, yet spread out so that they’re huge to carry around. Not to mention, you end up spending like $60 on parts. What I’m planning should be pretty inexpensive, since the only things we’ll have to buy is garden hose + accessories, small backpacks, and bicycle brake systems.

PVC is pretty cheap. I think 10 feet of 2 inch pipe was $10 last time i checked. or you could adapt it to work with other materials

I thought it was a dupe, oh well, it’s somebody, there are too many duct tape people here.
Anyway, just to get enough PVC to build the APH, you need about $58, and that’s a pretty basic system. The fire extinguisher plan was exactly what I was looking for, high power, low price, easy to make, easy to use. The hardest part of the ordeal is finding a compatible extinguisher, hopefully these old bastards will have the proper valve.

AE, if this works I’ll try to make one myself.
Every month or so somebody dumps a whole bunch of empty fire extinguishers at the dump and I must have seen at least fifteen or twenty of those last year.
