Quote: Does photo size really affect the resolution?
The photo size is the resolution.
What you mean to say is quality, not resolution.
The answer? Not really.
But if you take the photo in 1600x1200, then resize it to a smaller size in Photoshop or Gimp, it will look better.

It’s a camera phone, not a DSLR.
I think you’re expecting too much from your phone.
There are different light settings, you can try dicking around with those, but it should be set to "Auto" by default.

You can have a really terrible quality 8mp camera or a really amazing quality 2mp camera. Then there’s the amazing quality 8mp camera which is unreal.

...My $90 digital camera can change the exposure time...
And yeah, I guess I am expecting a little much, considering its not a camera that makes calls. And I set my light settings to daytime, but experimented with taking photos in night time mode and in fluorescent light mode.

Quote: No thats the WHOLE POINT the iphones break like crazy four of my friends have had theirs broken and it took them 2 weeks to get them fixed and since there is no insurance package they had to pay extra just to get it fixed for mechanical issues NOT because they did something. Plus they erase all the numbers when they fix it.
Apple Laptops can be nice though ;)
I have a macbook air and a iPhone.
I do own apple products to whoever said I don’t, and I’m a firm believer in apple now, I used to have a mac when i was kid and have used them before at school and i’ve always liked them and apples attitude on life.
Apple rules.

Fair enough TU, but since using PC gear all my life, I’ve become accustomed to it and it is my way of life, either AMD or Intel, just so long as it has a good processor and runs all my favorite stuff and DOESN’T lag, I’m happy. Oh, and Windows XP is always good with it too.
But to each their own. This year our Graphics department got like 50 new Apple iMacs, and so far no one, or at least the majority of people, hate them, or dislike them in a way, I am included in this figure, I just see the whole aspect of them to be well, different, but at the same time, reverse to Windows and very well... not complicated, but I just don’t like using them. Again, to each their own.
I do like the iPods though, they’re good. They’ll bodge up from time to time, but when they’re working, they’re fine.
