Krazyduck, I have that mouse you pictured. I didn’t like it very much. This is the mouse I bought to replace it:
It’s the Logitech Trackman and I have the wireless version. It’s sweeeeeet!

I have the Logitech TrackMan Marble.
I found it at a Goodwill Store and payed less than five bucks for the thing. The three bearings become dirty and often need cleaning. The scroll wheel has been buggy at times. Still, it beats a mouse.

^ I used to have that one too, coyote! It really was the best and it lasted like 8 years. Finally, it died. You lucky bastard!

Quote: I modified the buttons and the scroll wheel to be silent
I did the same thing to the scroll wheel of some dell mouse I have.
The damn scroll wheel was annoying me, so I opened it up and took out the little metal thing that made it click.
Now it’s smooth as butter.

DCO, how do you do that?
I kinda modded my Dell mouse, but by that I mean I took off all the paint with steel wool and it smoothed out everything (even the marbling pattern on where your palm rests, its awesome).
Mine clicks by like...this spiked plastic part of the mouse rotating inside this spiked hole (kinda like a gear going into a hole where the gear fits).

In my early Commodore days, I used an Atari Trackball.
It was big and noisy. The buttons were crappy. Commodore mouses were rare and expensive. Anyone remember Geos 2.0?

Pics?
It’s sounds like you may have a different mouse than the one I modded.
