Congratulations!
I actually just returned from Great Lakes, Illinois where the Navy’s bootcamp is. My sister graduated on Saturday and was on liberty for the weekend. Apparently Marine bootcamp is a whole lot tougher than Navy bootcamp (not to say the latter is in any way easy). My sister said the worst part was being surrounded by mindless goons 24/7, not to mention most of her shipmates were mostly from middle America whereas we’re from San Francisco--two very very different places.
I decided over the weekend that I’m 100% for sure going to join a branch of the military, most likely the Air Force.

if your looking for it to be "easy", then yes the air force is the way to go. air force only has 6 weeks of basic training whereas the army and navy have 9 weeks and i think the marines have 12 weeks.

Naw. The AF only fun if you get to be a fighter pilot/work at area-51/S4 and fly planes that technically dont exist. Join the marines. Dey the ones who raised the flag on Iwo Jima, not the seabees and not the AF.
The marines landed on normandy first too, plus alot more shit that my shitty memory cant remember for w/e reason.
Congrats thou NOS. What you aiming for? Sniper? Infantry? Tanker? idk?
Shoulda went to OCS, but that just me.

THE GERMANS LANDED ON NORMANDY FIRST AWLAWLAWLAWLAWL U C WUT I DID THAR?!

The Army’s parachute infantry landed in not quite first, but they were inland way before the marines were. And they fucked shit UP in Normandy, boy I tell you what.

I scored high enough on the ASVAB to have pretty much any job I want in the military, and having a job that requires a lot of training is much more appealing to me than being on the front lines.

True, but I hope you’re not suggesting that those manifestations of victory and courage are evidence that the Marines are somehow more important than the Air Force.
Don’t forget that prior to any Americans landing on Normandy, there were massive air raids on strategic targets like bridges and roads. Without these raids, the amphibious invasion would have been much less successful, if even possible at all.
Do you know why the Marines wanted to take Iwo Jima? Primarily because Japanese planes there were intercepting long range B-29 bomber missions.
My point is this: no one branch of the military is any more or less important/better than the others. They all support and compliment each other.
