What the hell?
Fedex says the parcel has arrived but I have yet to see anything at my door let alone the fucking FedEx truck.
What the fuck? Someone already signed for it?

I found out who the hell signed the signature.
Apparently instead of me signing for the package, some bitch at the mail station did. They are looking for the parcel now. It’s either sitting in storage, waiting to be sent out with the mail tomorrow or it’s still on the delivery truck, heading for my house.

Well, part one of a two part journey is finished.
A pickup truck (which had NO FexEx markings at all) just dropped off a rather badly beaten up box and after signing a sheet (so it had to be signed twice?) I began the unpack.
Now for the bad part.
They broke one of the feet and they scratched the monitor!
Now I hope the cube arrives tomorrow. There was no way we could fit everything into a single box.

You can always tell it’s FedEx by the trajectory of the box as it’s deleivered.
Might have been a good idea to have had FRAGILE on the box to at least warn them. If it’s not marked you are certainly going to get damage as they throw them around as if it was a box of unbreakables.

FedEx is dead.
FEDEX IS FUCKING DEAD!
As I put the monitor on it’s side I heard something inside the monitor move around. A few screws later and I had found that Fedex had trashed this monitor so badly that they had unglued a magnet from the tube yoke and it had been flying around inside the case! Fuck this, I’m bitching at FedEx tomorrow!

I’ll try to look on the bright side.
Here’s the back of the monitor. Note how there are only audio output jacks and no power socket. Power, audio and video all go through one cable

Luckily it was. You should see the base for the monitor. It’s made out of solid aluminum and makes up half the weight of the monitor.

For post 100, finally some good news.
I went with some car polish and my dremel with a felt buffer and after about ten minuets the scratch was nearly gone and all that was left was the deeper stuff that would take forever to remove but the scratch is so light now I doubt I will even notice it.
