I hope for your sake that you don't have to deal with all that, but if you do the story would be a real eye opener. Good luck man.

I'm on the other side of the hurricane coin. I stand to gain a ton of money. Woke company is gearing up for 3-4 days and nights of tree work. I lubes and sharpened the chipper yesterday. Tomorrow, I will do maintenance on our bucket truck. We plan on running 2 shifts for at least the initial two days, followed by several days of single 14 hour shifts. I should bring home a couple grand within the week.
Sorry that it's going to affect you in a negative way. Hopefully it eases up by your town.

I used to do Tree service back before I joined the military, talk about working man, that was a tough job. We dropped this Hawthorne tree, a big tree with thorns in the branches, so we fed the branches into the chipper, our's was so fast you couldn't get out of the way. So the regular brances that would rub by you and do almost nothing now had thorns on it and at the end of the day I looked like i just got crucified, it was pretty bad lol.
I plan to get out of here as soon as possible so when the storm hits I'm not here. Yeah I ain't too worried, even if my whole house is gone here I'll probably be smiling and joking around a bit, who knows. Like that's just the type of guy I am, like at lest I'm alive lol

I'm familiar with hawthorn trees. Those aren't thorns. They are Mother Nature's death daggers. I despise hawthorn trees.
What type of house do you have, Nos? Does it have a solid foundation? One story, or two?
I salute your attitude, Nos. Best of luck.

It's a 2 story but the ones that are like it around here have been blown down in the 85 MPH winds, 115 winds will send my house flying lol.

Best of luck. I hope all will be well.
There is a chance this storm might brush the coast of N.C. and move on.

I was supposed to be moving into my college dorm this weekend (its like 45 minutes away from my house) but I'm staying at home until Monday to help clean up the yard and what not. I live within 20 miles of the Chesapeake Bay and if this storm decides to follow the Bay inland, we might get hit fairly hard. But I'm really not that worried, we're usually pretty safe during these storms.

I'm far enough inland so I won't have to worry too much (I hope!) of course these storms have been know to spin off a tornado.
