Wind Energy Question

Anyone ever install or know anything about wind turbines?  This Spring when I get home from work I'm planning on building a cabin in the middle of butt#%!@ nowhere and I was thinking about installing a small wind turbine for electricity.  I can't even find a website to buy equipment.  Everything seems to be huge commercial products.  I don't know much about this stuff as I've never dealt with it before.   I seen a wind turbine at Canadian tire for $800+ tax this summer I think it was but you need more too.  Generator and converters or some shit.   Halp?

I've been thinking about a wind turbine also , I think Grainger may carry them . Also thinking about solar also . A friend of mine made a crude solar water heater from parts he salvaged from work .  I need to go over and check his rig out .

I just built a compost outhouse next to my gazeebo, no more running up to the house when I have to go!
