I know a lot of people in this site dislike MySpace, and have an urge to mess with its users as much as possible. Also, almost everyone these days has a MySpace, making it a perfect place to prank one of your friends. Today I'll be explaining how to redirect people's MySpace page to anything you want, so that whenever someone try's to view their page, they will see nasty porn or whatever it is you want them to see. You can also make multiple pop-ups on the persons page.

I have personally done this many many times, with great results.

This egg is probably going to be pretty long, but if you get good at this, you'll be able to do it in a few minutes.

Materials:

1.) A MySpace account of your own. You might want to make a secondary one if you have one that you actually use, some people get very angry and will complain to the MySpace administration, who will possibly delete your account (its happened to me)

2.) A photobucket account. You may want to make a new one if you already have one that people know of. I doubt photobucket will delete your account, though.

3.) Adobe (formerly Macromedia) Flash MX, Flash professional, or anything that lets you make .swf files. I have uploaded my copy of Flash MX (link at bottom) if you would like to download it. If you don't want to download it, I have also made some pre-made files that you can use for this, but if you want to make your own custom redirects or pop-ups, you will need this program.

Procedure:

1.) - Find your victim

Find someone who you want to mess with. Since commenting on people's page is the basis of this prank, and you cannot comment without being someones friend, invite them to be your friend. If they do not accept, you can try a few more times. 90% of people accept anyone as their friend, though.

2.) Making the files

Bypass this step if you choose to use the premade files at the bottom!


You are going to need to make two simple files. If you dont want to make then, check the bottom of this egg for links to ones I made.

The first will be a non-malicious picture or short animation that you can post on someone's MySpace as a comment at first. I suggest making it say something that they are sure to accept, like "thanks for the friend add" or "Hey, message me sometime." To make a short saying like that, use the tool menu on the right to add text or change the color or whatever you want to do. To resize it, go to Window and then select Properties. An area at the bottom will show up, and allow you to change the size. When you're done, click File and Export Movie. In the box that pops up, make sure you save it as a "Flash Movie (*.swf)" and name it File1.





The second file you want to make is the one that will redirect their page, or make pop-ups. It looks way more complicated than it is, I can make one in about 15 seconds.

Open up Flash and do the following:

Step one- Press F9 or go to Window then Actions. A box at the bottom will pop up.




Step two- Use the scroll bar until you can find a choice called "getURL." it's a long list, but its in alphabetical order, so it shouldn't be too hard to find.


Step three- Double click "getURL." Three input boxes will appear just to the right of the area where you selected getURL from.



Step Four- There are three input boxes. The first one is called "URL." In this box, put the address of the website that you want their MySpace to be redirected to, or that you want to be a pop-up when their page is viewed. Be sure to make it a complete address, i.e. http://www.google.com, not just "google.com"

The second one is called "Window." This is to choose if you want it to redirect, or to be a pop-up. To make it redirect, type "_self" in this box (without the quotes). If you want it to be a pop-up, type "_new."

The last box, called \"Variables\" is irrelevant. Dont do anything to it.

If you want to make multiple pop-ups, double click "getURL" again, and follow the previous steps to do so. You can do this as many times as you want.


Step five- Click File then "Export Movie" and save it as a .swf called File2, and in a place you can easily find it.


3.) Photobucket


Go to photobucket and login. Upload File1, the one that says "Thanks for the Add" or whatever. Copy the URL of the file once its been uploaded by highlighting it and pressing Ctrl and C at the same time, or going to Edit then Copy.



You can minimize or close photobucket for now.


4.) Commenting on MySpace


Go find that person who you chose in step one. They should be your friend by now. If they aren't yet, wait for them to be, or pick someone else who is already your friend.

Now, click on them to view their MySpace page. Once there, scroll down to where their comments are, and find the "Add Comment" link. Click it. Type this code into the comment box:



(sorry, Rotteneggs wont let me put HTML codes in the eggs). Paste the URL that you copied from photo bucket by pressing Ctrl and V at the same time where it says YourURL.
Post the comment. If you get a message that says that the person doesn't allow HTML in their comments, or they don't accept embed tags in their comments,
Then you're out of luck. Pick someone else

You will get this message.



Don't worry about it, the person will accept because the embedded file you posted looks fine to them for the time being.

5.) Renaming The Files

Find File2 on your computer, the one that will redirect them or make pop-ups and rename it. You must rename it File1 (the file you uploaded to Photobucket in a previous step).
If your computer says that that file name already exists, then go find File1 and rename it anything you want to free up the name.


6.) Making the switch

DO NOT MOVE ON TO THIS STEP UNTIL THE PERSON HAS ACCEPTED YOUR COMMENT.

This is the last step. First, delete File1 from your photobucket account. After this has been done, upload File1 (the one you renamed in the previous step, it used to be called File2).

You\’re done!
If you followed all my directons correctly, that persons page should now be #%!@ed up. This prank is great for revenge or just for kicks. If you want to restore their page to how it should be, simply log in to your photo bucket account and delete File1!
