alright, this time imma get it right tha first time.ok, i made a really kick ass knife and i thought i would share it. i already made this egg, so dont say i stole it or its already in the directory, and i hope that this time theres pics.

materials:
large band saw blade
sander/sand paper
bench grinder/grind stone
1 2x4
2 small bolts
steel wool
gun oil/knife oil
chisle
table saw
drill and drill bits

step 1: find some one that works in a saw mill and ask them if they have any broken band saw blades, chances are they will, get about 5-10 of them of all sizes possible. the saw blades will be about 1\"-2\" in width and some can be about 3'-4' long.

step 2: when you have the blades find a 2x4 and cut it down to a length your comfortable with. this is your hilt(handle), we'll talk more about this later.

step 3: take the saw blade and cut off the amout of teeth that needs to be gone so you can fit it in the hilt, on mine i cut off 6 teeth. fit the knife in the hilt and use a pencil/pen to mark the area on the insides on the hilt. chilsel out the inside of the pen marks about half of the size of the saw blade on each, the saw blad is 1/8 in i think but measure the blade any way, just in case, so if its 1/8 in make the chisled out parts 1/16 in on each hilt, it is also VERY VERY important that the marks are in the center of the hilt.

step 4: attach the blade to the inside of the hilt clamp it down TIGHT and put it in a vise, then take your drill and drill through the knife withe the size of drill bit of the bolt, so if the bolt is 1/5 in wide, you drill the hole 1/5 in wide, make sure everything is goes in a straight line through the blade and hilt and not diagnally. add your bolts and screw on TIGHTLY. if i didnt specify how many bolts you need, you need 2, or use 3 just for the hell of it.

step 5: now you have a square hilted knife, you dont want a square hilt, so sand off the edges first to make a fome what rounded eged hilt, then get the middles of it until you like the feel of it in your hands, if you sand too far then make another hilt, i did the first time so dont get mad

step 6: grind the side of the blade that dosent have teeth with the bench grinder/grind stone. i use a bench grinder for all my knifes but if you dont got one use grind stone, grind stone wont break the knife as easy but it takes for ever to sharpen, but a bench grinder will break it of you press to hard. also, add a point at the end. cut off a part of the knife side at an angle then sharpen it.

step 7: if its tarnished (orange stuff that looks like rust) use gun/knife oil on it and then use steel wool, it will take off all of the spots within 15-20 mins.

step 8: if you want to make the hilt look good then stain it or burn it w/ a blow torch.

and this is what the finished version should look like:

its pretty confusing but you should get it. and you can use 2 blade on he knife too for extra teeth on the serrated side. i for some reason the image doesnt show up, go to my profile and look at my pics.
dont get in trouble and blame me either, im not responseable if your dumbass gets hurt or w/e.

*new* this egg is now dolphin safe!~ love, violent-j
