I have discovered a very, very simple way to make an electic tattoo gun. keep in mind that this is a 1 person, 1 use before you change the needle tattoo gun.
Supplies:
-a crest spinbrush pro or some sort of other cheap electic toothbrush you\’re willing to cut up a bit.
-an electric guitar B string (2nd smallest, dont use the E string which is the smallest, i have tried and it hurts the same amount but doesn\’t work as well).
-2 AA bateries (for the toothbrush)
-indian ink, or homemade ink (made from burning paper and mixing the ashes in a small amount of water so that it thickens but doesnt have many lumps, i have tattooed myself twice with the homemade ink and it has turned out well and hasn\’t faded)
-wire cutters
-lighter
-hydrogen poroxide
-super glue or ruber cement
-lots a Q-tips
-be able to take a bit of pain
Preperation:
Start but grabing the electric toothbrush and taking off the head by twisting the top and pulling upwards, there\’s arrows on the toothbrush so that you can change the heads that will show you which direction to turn it.
After the head is off put in the 2 AA bateries in the bottom of the toothbrush.
Now that the head is off and the bateries are in it you will see that where the head was before there is now a tiny little metal piece that is poking out a bit. There is a circle of hard plastic around it that makes it so it doesn\’t come out of the toothbrush very much, so grab you wire cutters and start cutting chunks out of the plastic so that the metal should be sticking a bit further out after.
After this try turning the toothbrush on. It should be pulsating up and down very fast.
Next get the guitar B string a get the wire cutters and cut out about 3cm of string, cut the string at and angle so that it is sharper and easier to get in the skin and will hurt alot less. Next get your lighter and burn all the bacteria off the needle by putting it in the blue flame for a few seconds then get the hydorgen poroxide and dab it all over the needle to sterilize it.
Now that the needle is ready, take the super glue and take the non pointy part of the needle and super glue it too the metal piece that moves up and down. (feel free to add comments for better ideas to hold the needle in place than super glue but i have used it and it worked pretty well) Use quite a bit of glue so that the needle will stay in place and make sure its totally dry.
You now have your electric tattoo gun! just turn it on and the needle will move up and down very fast and just trace your design with a pen, then dab the needle ragularly in the ink while tracing the design lightly at first to see if you like how its looking, if your not liking it you can make it almost all go away if you apply the hydrogen poroxide quickly. When there is alot of ink over the tat you\’ll want to clean it off with the q-tips so you can see what your doing better.
Don\’t share needles and dont use more than once before changing the needle.
