Social Engineering Guide

Social engineering was first used when hackers used relations to gain information over the phone or occasionally in person. This guide does not relate to hacking. This guide will probably be used for when you are in a problem and you need to talk your way out. You can also use this to get your way while negotiating, getting more friends or getting a
girlfriend.The uses are endless. Anyway enough with the introduction let’s get started.






PEOPLE ARE SELF-INTERESTED

When wanting someone to do something for you show how it will help them. Since people are mainly self interested, letting them know how it’ll benefit them will motivate them more then telling them how much you would appreciate it. And remember a big part of self-interest is laziness.




PEOPLE CRAVE ATTENTION

Listen like you care and let the other person do the talking. The best way to get other people interested in you is by being "genuinely" interested in them, not by trying to convince them that you’re cool. Always use someones name when talking to them and refer to details that are important to them.




PEOPLE CRAVE APPRECIATION AND A FEELING OF IMPORTANCE

Find what is good or interesting in other people and then express your sincere appreciation with compliments. Emphasize their achievements and submit good ideas too, but never criticize them.




PEOPLE WANT TO BE RIGHT

Don’t contradict or argue with people since all that will happen is the person won’t like you as much. Say that you’re wrong if you get in trouble and act sorrowful but still keeping the previous points in mind.




LIEING AND EXCUSES

Unless you are doing something that is obviously criminal (stabbing someone, shooting someone etc.) you should have a pre-planned excuse in mind. Many tried and true excuses are good. I can’t list them here because they really depend on what you are planning to do (if this egg gets a good enough rating I might do an egg on excuses). The excuse should be hard to prove wrong. When lieing don’t make your story to complicated. Just use a couple main points and sound sincere or you may trip yourself up. Make sure you have good eye contact but don’t stare the person down. In your lie or excuse never say that
you broke the rules knowingly (unless it is really obvious as i said before).

A good point to remember when you are somewhere you are not supposed to be is to remember a quote by Wes Modes "look important and people will assume that you are".





SMILING

Smiling is to humans as tail wagging is to dogs. It says to other people that you are nice and friendly (even if you aren’t)and that you are at ease. When a policeman (or someone else of authority) catches you doing something your not supposed to be doing just flash them a prizewinning smile. This might be fairly obvious but trust me it’s a huge help.




CONFIDENCE

When trying to be confident act like a stereotypical Texan. Walk big and proudly. Laugh and talk loudly. Also get rid of sayings like "i guess", "whatever", "um", "uhh" etc. Eye contact is also very important.




IN CONCLUSION

When trying to get something act humble, polite and friendly. Basically kiss ass until you’re where you want to be.
