This is a How to: About Rolling Cigarettes
So... Sit back, Relax and Here we Go!!
A Brief History of Cigarettes
Quote:
The cigarette was born some time in the 18th century: beggars in Seville began to pick from the ground the cigar ends left by the señoritos (rich young men), wrapped the tobacco remains with paper and smoked them. The first attested use of this habit can be seen in three 18th century paintings by Francisco de Goya: La cometa (The kite), La merienda en el Manzanares (Picnic by the river Manzanares) and El juego de la pelota a pala (The ball and paddle game).
The use of tobacco in cigarette form became increasingly popular after the Crimean War. This was helped by the development of tobaccos that are suitable for cigarette use. During World War I and World War II, cigarettes were rationed to soldiers. During the second half of the 20th century, the adverse health effects of cigarettes started to become widely known and severe health warnings became commonplace on cigarette packets.

Ok Now enough of That Crap On With the good Stuff! =D
U R Here =P (Notice it is a Bag Storage Room, it is Bo0o\’s room!!)
You will notice in the opening pic, these are the materials that you will need to roll a smoke
- Tobacco (the strength varies, the darker the tobacco the stronger it is)
- Gummed rolling papers (best brand in Australia is the almighty TALLY-HO!!1!)
- Filters (this is recommended for beginners, super slim filters shown. What ever you start to roll with, stick with it because it is hard to get used to the different sizes)
- Lighter (this is recommended if you want to light your smoke)
How to actually roll....
1.
Take the paper in your hand like so, the V makes it stronger so the paper does not bend as you put the tobacco. NOTE!!! make sure the gummed side is facing you and pointing upwards.
2.
the filter should go under your index finger to hold it still. next lay the tobacco evenly, this is the most difficult part as it affects the way the smoke will turn out like. once you start rolling more often it will become easier to determine how much the right amount to put in for the perfect result is.
3.
Roll the tobacco with both hands, again this is something that requires practice. this will ensure, providing that it is compact, and round enough, that the smoke will turn out well. if the tobacco is not rolled evenly. i.e. there is more in the front then the filter may be loose, the same goes for if there is too much in the middle.
4.
to roll you have to learn to tuck the non-gummed side around with the tobacco to make a tight fit and so you can smoke it =D.
5.
If there is any tobacco sticking out the end and it does not feel tight enough (A few light squeezes along the body of the smoke to check). Tap it on a hard surface or your hand until you see a visible change in the amount of tobacco sticking out. When you think the smoke is tight enough (this will come with experience) then pinch the non-filtered end and take the sticking out tobacco and place it back in your pouch.
6.
This is your final product, it takes anywhere up to a years worth of practice to roll a smoke like this, although any smoke can be light and smoked, its just the tighter and the better rolled the smoke is, the longer it will last.
7.
This is a brief movie on rolling a smoke
8.
Light and enjoy =D
