DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME : Text files and message bases are for INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. Do not undertake any project based upon any information obtained from this or any other web site.We are not responsible for, nor do we assume any liability for, damages resulting from the use of any information on this site.
Alright, first you go to get paint.net for this to work. You can get paint.net here:

http://www.paint.net/

After you have downloaded the program get familiar with it and what some of the effects you can do with it. I know there are alot of eggs on how to make a gif, but i have not seen any one use paint.net. After you have downloaded it, open the program. You can start off with a simple gif like a ball bouncing. So create your bouncing ball picture. ( To make it bigger change brush size ) After you have created a picture with a ball in the air, GO TO:
file - > Save As
name it whatever you want.
Then where it says Save As Type,do it as GIF (*.gif)

Like so:

Do that until your gif is suited to your needs. For the next part you will need a gif animator. A simple one i use is UnFREEz, which you can download here:
http://www.whitsoftdev.com/unfreez/
You don’t have to have unfreez, but its one of the simplest ones. Look on google for some other ones.
Now after you have downloaded your animator, open it up. Most of the should be like unfreez, and all you have to do is drag and drop them into it. Then you can mess with the frame delay 0 being fastest and 1 and more gets slower. Save it to wherever you want and click on it. Your gif should be there. :)
Here are some i made, and you don’t have to draw these. You can also use video clips and edit some. I don’t know how to do these but maybe you can figure it out.

Here is how to make an exploding planet, or something like it.
First off get some dry mud, something like this.
http://www.freenaturepictures.com/assets/images/lores/crackedmud.jpg
Copy and paste this into paint.net.
Invert the picture [ Ctrl+Shift+I ]
Then Select the ellipse tool, like so:
http://i325.photobucket.com/albums/k378/TOB3RT/657.png
Then invert the selection [ Ctrl+I ] then delete it. Fill the background behind the circle with black. Now go to Effects then Distort then bulge. You can mess with the buldge until you find something you like. I usually use 33%.
Duplicate it with [ Ctrl+Shift+D ]Double click the newly created layer ( you can rename if you wish ) but go to mode then select color burn.
Duplicate the image you just did the Color Burn on.
Merge the layer down, which is on the layers box to the right of the x.
After you have done this go to effects then photo then glow. Adjust it to whatever makes your picture look better.
Now duplicate the image. After you’ve done that, on the new layer do a Zoom Blur. (Effects Then Blurs Then Zoom Blur. I used 46%. Use more or less to your liking.
Double click the layer you just did the blur on, and on the mode adjust it to Lighten.
Then you should be done. To make it look better go to adjustments then Hue/Saturation and turn Saturation to zero. Merge down and your done.

There are alot more things you can do with paint.net. I learned how to do all of these from a site that helps out with tutorials on paint. You can find it here:

http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Paint.NET/Contents/Tutorials
I give all credit to the site for the tutorials on how to make them. I did not copy word for word, i put it all in my own words. I hop you have fun with paint.net
