this is a great little oven for those with a little time on thier haands.
some people may have herd of the can furnace, well it’s not very good.
this egg uses the same principle but with improvements that make it useful rarther than prety.
THE CAN.
1#open and drink the can you have got and wash out with water.
2#cut a hole in the top half of the can in proportion to the diagram above, rub the edges with a stone so you dont cut your self.
3#poke holes in the bottem half of the can(about 15-20)with a cumpas or pencil, the holes have to be roughly 1 mm around so if you use a pin widen the hloes a bit.
THE FUEL.
1#get a bit(quite alot actualy) of charcoal or well dried wood and chip it into small ish pieces.
2#get all the chipped pieces and soak them in a flamable liquid(arosol works eg.lynx)
3#place the soaked pieces in a sealed box/container and leave them untill needed.
THE FURNACE.
1# open the container with the fuel in it and put enough of it in the can so that it just covers the small puncture holes at the bottem.
2# spray some arosol into the bottem of the can.
3# ignite the fuel with a match, watch out though the initail flame can escape the can.
4# place what you want to burn eithe on top of the ringpull or through the hole in the top half.
5# when the flame dies down simply place more of the fuel in the top hole in the side.
EXTRA OPTIONS.
1# for extra high heat on the inside of the can, place magniesum ribbon in when you put fuel in.
2# using coal instead of charcoal will make the fire last longer and not as much fuel is needed but this does not burn at as high a heat, use a mix of the two for best results.
3# after a while the ash from the charcoal will build up, this slows the oxygen coming in and so cools the furnace, from a didtance blow in the holes at the bottem(you may want to use a fan) so that the ash rises out of the other holes leaving the heavyer unlit fuel on the bottem.
hope you have fun with this.
ps. if there is anything you want desighning or improving but dont know how, eggmail me i’ll see if i can do something.
