Seeing how well my first egg went I thought id go with the flow and write about my secret hiding spot and how you can do it. This eggs will explain how I made my hiding spot, its simple but will only work on certain beds unfortunately, if not look around your house, after all if your trying to hide something who's doing to think of it being in your parents bed frame, muhahaha.

Materials:
Bed – made of metal with posts at each end

Small container – for this I used a small sweet container, basically anything round and small enough to fit in the post of the bed, ill be explained later

String - self explanatory

Tape - cant beat the old favorite of duck tape




Here's an example of the type of bed I'm on about. This one is from Argos (the UK version of Wal-Mart). its actually mine so i know it works, sorry about the messy room.



A closer look at the frame, doesn't look like much, but you'd be surprised how much can be put in it.



Here's the inside of the post, the top is just a wooden plug which has a rubber seal around it to hold it tightly on top of the frame. To get the top off just pull it up while gently turning it around.

Now a problem you might have thought of with my plan... Or might not have, how do I retrieve my items from inside if I cant get my hand down to the bottom of the post (about 60cm down)? Well to solve this I built a small container, that's what the material stated above is for.



Here is what the container looks like. To make it just duct tape the string on both sides of the container, if your like me and want more room you can add more containers to the bottom as you go along; I estimate that my frame could hold around 5 of these containers in each leg, remember there are 4 legs to the bed so a lot of room. Now put the container inside the frame, holding onto the string from the top, this is what you will use to retrieve the good later.



In this picture you can see that the bolts from the rest of frame go into the leg, I tied a loop in the top of the string so I could loop it over this inside bolt so the string doesn't fall.

All done, not just push the wooden plug on top again and no ones the wiser (well except you, lol)



Another Hiding Spot, Great For When Traveling

materials
> duct tape or similar
> large business envelope, you know the type, normally brown

ok if you have chest of drawer of something similar duct tape the envelope to the bottom of the top draw, tapering 3 sides leaving the side with the flap clear. now you can stored cash or flat things like confidential papers or passport.
i used this once when i was travel and was staying at a hotel, i didn’t want to pay the expensive safe charges so i used this method to hide my passport and money. And yes i did carry duck tape with me, uber cool,lol.


Hoped you liked the eggs, got another two eggs planned, nothing to do with hiding spots this time, there's already too many at the moment.
